I focus on the environmental impact of supply chains – the systems that provide us with the clothes we wear, the food we eat and the buildings we live in. The supply chains I look at might be for a city, a construction project or a global economic sector like health care. I also provide advice on how to reduce the impact, taking inspiration from the idea of a circular economy.
My first years in 电竞竞猜外围 were spent working as a structural engineer on projects delivered by 电竞竞猜外围 ’s architects. For me, it always made sense to have an integrated team working together for a single goal – it’s why 1 Triton Square has been such an important project for me. I’m the technical lead and project manager for sustainable materials, so I need to determine the environmental impact of the supply chain by taking information from every discipline; architects, structural engineers, services engineers, contractors.
With 电竞竞猜外围 delivering all design disciplines as part of one collaborative team, every single person was joined up and motivated to make the lowest impact building possible. And it’s working. We’ve saved over 57,000 tons of carbon - enough to offset the annual energy consumption of 14,000 London homes, and the project is set to be the most sustainable headquarters in the UK.
